Jarre Goutte Classique Patina

Ref. : JGOUTTE

Originally it was in the south of France, more precisely in the village of Biot, that during the fifteenth century the potters started to makes jarres in the form of an olive or a goutte ("drop"). These jarres, used for transporting foodstuffs by boat, were made using the "coil" technique. Today, our jarres replicate the ancient forms and are rope-turned by hand ("tournage à la corde"). Our jarres goutte are available in 6 variations of form and height: 60cm, 70, 80 with ou without garland, and 2 models with a height of 100cm.

Showed here with our Classique patina, askillful blend of colors and textures applied after firing gives the look of lichen.

Our patina is handmade, so each jarre is unique.
